1. Who we are

RenovateConnect is a matching platform operated from Limpopo, South Africa. Contact: info@renovateconnect.co.za. We introduce customers who want renovation or construction work to companies that have joined the network. We are not a construction, renovation or building company. We do not design, specify, supervise or carry out building work. We are not a party to any contract between a customer and a company unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

2. The matching service

Customers request a quotation through the website. We review the brief and location. We phone professionals who appear suitable for the trade and area. We compare what they can offer and report back to the customer with the best option. The customer decides whom to appoint. The contract for the work — including price, programme, workmanship, health and safety, and payment — is between the customer and that company.

Professionals do not need a workspace or a public listing on this website. Matching depends on which companies we can reach by phone. We do not guarantee that a match, a quotation, or an accepted job will be available for every request.

3. Using the website

By using this site you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice. You must be able to form a contract under South African law. You must provide information that is accurate so far as you know. You may not use the site to spam, scrape, impersonate others, upload unlawful content, or interfere with the service. We may refuse, suspend or remove access or content where needed to protect users or to comply with the law.

4. Customer quotation requests

A quotation request is an enquiry, not a booking and not an offer to contract with RenovateConnect. Submitting a request does not appoint a builder and does not create a construction contract. You authorise us to share the details you submit — including name, contact details, location, project description and any photographs you send — with companies we shortlist for that job.

Forms on this site are submitted to us electronically. Until outbound email is connected, your device may open a mail message addressed to info@renovateconnect.co.za so you can complete the send. You should keep a copy of anything important you submit. We are not responsible if a message is not sent from your device.

5. Professionals

Professionals do not need a public listing or a workspace on this site. You may leave a name, trade, area and phone number so we can call you with jobs. There is no fee to be on that call list while we get started.

You must keep the contact details you give us accurate. We may stop calling a business that is misleading, abusive or unlawful. Being on our call list is not a guarantee of workmanship, insurance, licensing or statutory compliance.

6. Quotations, work and disputes

A quotation is an offer by the company, not by RenovateConnect. We do not guarantee that a company will accept a job, complete it to a standard, meet a programme, or honour a price. Customers must satisfy themselves before appointing anyone, including by checking references, insurance and any statutory requirements that apply to the work (for example electrical or structural compliance).

Disputes about workmanship, payment, delays, defects or safety are between the customer and the company. RenovateConnect may, at its discretion, help with introductions or information we hold, but we are not an adjudicator and we are not obliged to mediate.

7. Intellectual property

The RenovateConnect name, wordmark, layout and original content on this website belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy the platform for a competing service. You retain rights in material you submit (such as project photos) and you grant us a licence to use that material to operate the matching service, including sharing it with shortlisted companies and, where you agree, publishing completed work as a case study.

8. Liability

To the extent allowed by South African consumer law, RenovateConnect is not liable for loss arising from a customer–company relationship, from information submitted by users, from the quality of building work, or from temporary unavailability of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law so requires.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms by publishing a new version on this page. Continued use of the site after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. The courts of South Africa have jurisdiction, without limiting any consumer rights that cannot be waived.
